How I Save Money | Part 1
Welcome to my very first blog post!
Today, I will be sharing with you the first way I save money, which is by using the Walmart Savings Catcher. I discovered this service nearly a year ago and have used it for every grocery trip since! You may be asking, "What is the Walmart Saving Catcher?" Let me explain. On the Walmart mobile app, there is a service that allows you to use your phone to scan the code from a Walmart receipt that is less than 7 days old. Savings Catcher will then scan weekly ads from top competitors in your area for advertised deals that match the eligible items on your receipt. If a lower advertised price is found, you get the difference on a Walmart eGift Card. So, all you have to do is shop, scan your receipt, wait 2-3 days for them to process your receipt, and get money back!
Once you have money in your account, you will need to set up Walmart Pay to be able to use your eGift card. The app is very user friendly, and they walk you through step-by-step how to set up the Walmart Pay service. Now, when I'm ready to pay, I just open up the Walmart app, select Walmart Pay, scan the QR code, and the money from my eGift card is automatically subtracted from the amount due. Very simple and easy!
I only shop at Walmart because they do typically have the best prices. However, they don't run sales very often like other supermarkets do. So, this is a great way to ensure that you're getting the very best deals. Some shopping trips, I don't get any money back. And some shopping trips, I get $5 back! It may not be a ton of money, but for how easy it is to just scan my receipt each time I shop, it's more than worth it to me.
So, if you shop at Walmart and would like to receive money back on your purchases, give the Walmart app a shot! You won't be disappointed. If you have any questions on how it works, feel free to contact me. Or if you use the app already and love it, I'd love to hear from you, too! I truly hope this post benefitted you all in some way. :) Don't forget, part 2 coming soon!
